EM8 is the membership and participation token of BBS. All BBS members are required to hold EM8 as part of general membership — tokens are distributed to members upon joining at no additional cost. Members can also earn additional EM8 by performing services within the organization.

How EM8 Works: All EM8 holders participate in BBS-DAO governance with equal voting weight — holding more tokens does not increase a member's governance power or vote weight. What additional EM8 does unlock is a greater share in BBS net income revenue distributions. The more EM8 a member accumulates through service and participation, the greater their percentage of organizational revenue sharing.
EM8 is also integrated into the BBS Digital Academy (Technology DAO, Item 11) as an incentive mechanism — members earn EM8 rewards for completing technology training and professional certifications, directly tying digital education to community ownership and economic participation.
