EM8 Token & DAO Participation
BBS membership requires holding EM8 (Emancip8) tokens. All members receive EM8 upon joining at no additional cost and can earn additional tokens by performing services within the organization. All EM8 holders participate in BBS-DAO governance with equal voting weight — the amount of tokens you hold does not affect your vote.

What is a Charter Member?

Do I need EM8 tokens to become a member?
Yes. BBS membership requires holding EM8 tokens. All members receive EM8 upon joining at no additional cost. You can earn additional EM8 by performing services within BBS — the more EM8 you accumulate, the greater your share in BBS net income revenue distributions. All EM8 holders have equal governance and voting weight regardless of the amount held.
What is the BBS-DAO?
The BBS-DAO (Decentralized Autonomous Organization) is the governance layer of Black Brick Society. It allows members to vote on organizational decisions, budget allocations, and agenda priorities using a transparent, on-chain process. The National BBS-DAO coordinates eight Sector DAOs and State DAOs across the country.
What is the BBS Annual Summit?
The BBS Annual Summit is the yearly convening of the BBS network — members, chapter leaders, DAO participants, and invited guests. The 1st Annual BBS Summit takes place June 19–20, 2026. Charter Members receive priority access and member pricing.
How do I access the Member Portal?
The BBS Member Portal is available at portal.blackbricksociety.com. You connect using a Web3 wallet (MetaMask recommended) to verify your membership and access the dashboard, governance tools, and chapter network.
